AY-02A Bypass Piping Install

The project was conducted in a contaminated and radioactive area within the Tank Farms, creating challenges in creating effective and efficient means and methods for conducting quality work while maintaining a safe environment for workers.

The project scope included installation of a welded pipe – in – pipe (bypass pipe assembly) waste transfer line through AY-02A Pump Pit to isolate the pit and facilitate future waste transfers to and from AY-101 Tank.
