Washtucna School District Phase I

Apollo Solutions Group worked with the Washtucna School District staff and Washington Department of Enterprise Services ESPC program to craft a custom project for the district.

Apollo believes that school districts directly benefit from a learning environment that keeps the staff and students Safe, Warm and Dry.

After providing a preliminary assessment for the district, it was apparent that the District’s biggest needs were in the form of New Roofing and New Windows. Being a small, rural district in Washington, it became clear that the district would be eligible for an OSPI Rural Modernization Energy Grant. This made the project more attractive to the district as the grant would cover 100% of the overall cost. In addition to the roofing and windows, the scope of work also included a lighting retrofit in the cafeteria and gymnasium, new laminate flooring in the cafeteria and new carpet in the resource rooms. Through these system upgrades, the staff and students can maintain comfort and experience energy savings as well!

Through the various facility improvement measures, the district has now reduced their energy consumption by 7.7%.
