Rock Island Dam Power House 1 HVAC Improvements

The Rock Island Dam is located on the Columbia River; it contains 31 spillway gates and two powerhouses with the first being completed in 1933 and the second one completed in 1979.

Apollo’s full mechanical scope included demo of existing HVAC equipment and replacement with new. Additional exhaust systems were also installed. Apollo acted as the General Contractor and managed work for all trades on the site.

Equipment installed included two main air handlers supplying 43,000 CFM each to the main generator room, a rooftop unit serving the lobby, and 9 exhaust fans serving different rooms. Some minor plumbing changes, and a sewer venting exhaust system.
