City of Granger Energy Phase I

The City of Granger takes great pride in their facilities, and none more so than their Wastewater Treatment Plant which is front and center as you drive through the scenic center of town heading south.

Through utilizing the Department of Enterprise Service’s Energy Program, the City wanted to make sure they were maximizing their other facilities to the best of their ability.  After preliminary analysis, it was determined that lighting upgrades at City Hall, the Wastewater Treatment Plant, City Shop, Fire Station and Library as well as controls at their Treatment Plant and a VFD on Well #1 – would provide them with a good mixture of energy and operational savings.  The infrastructure improvements put $9,973 back to the City’s bottom line and also cut their electrical usage by over 10%.

Apollo was able to secure $38,848 in grants from the Department of Commerce, and another $13,786 in incentives from Pacific Power to help offset the costs of the project.
