Duties/Responsibilities  

  • Assist in the safety planning of the work activities
  • Participate in field safety walk downs
  • Recommend, plan, and implement Company policy to establish and maintain a safe work environment
  • Ensures compliance with appropriate federal and state safety and health regulations
  • Provide safety leadership of the contractor’s craft, subcontractors, and in the evaluation of occurrences.

  • Proficient computer knowledge and skills, including but not limited to graph presentations
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to write reports and procedures
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong understanding of loss control fundamentals
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Team player

 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor of Sciences in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent and 5-8 years in construction safety
  • CHST Certification preferred
  • Shall be familiar with and demonstrate experience with construction safety.
  • Shall be familiar with near-miss and accident investigations to identify root causes, corrective actions, and draft incident reports.
  • Previous work on US Dept Of Energy Complexes, Nuclear Experience
